Scott Jensen, the Grand Forks man featured in a Sunday Herald story about his upcoming participation in the Arrowhead Ultra 135 winter race, has completed the 135-mile course.
The race from International Falls to Tower, Minn., started Monday morning, and contestants have until Wednesday to complete the course.
The Arrowhead 135 is open to competitors on bicycle, skis or on foot.
Competing on a Salsa Beargrease fat bike, Jensen finished the race with a moving time of 21 hours, 42 minutes, according to trackleaders.com, the website tracking race participants. He only stopped for 2 hours and 18 minutes, according to the website stats.
This was Jensen’s sixth Arrowhead Ultra, and his time, good for 14th place, was his best to date.
