If you’re a North Dakota deer hunter wondering what you drew for a gun or muzzleloader license this fall, wonder no more.
More than 2,800 antlerless deer gun licenses remain. Only resident applicants who were unsuccessful in the first lottery can apply for remaining licenses. Not surprisingly, no tags remain for units 2B, 2C or 2D in northeast North Dakota.
The first lottery application process – deer gun, muzzleloader, youth and landowner – had more than 107,000 applicants, and just under 53,000 hunters were unsuccessful.
Unsuccessful applicants can apply online for remaining licenses beginning Aug. 8. Paper applications for remaining licenses will be mailed to individuals the week of Aug. 7, and the deadline for applying is Aug. 30.
