Cabela’s National Walleye Tour Tournament Day 2 Results

Gil Mollet of Jefferson, S.D., leads with 34.31 pounds after the second day of the Cabela’s National Walleye Tour tournament on Devils Lake. Mollet weighed in five walleyes for 20.39 pounds Friday to move into the lead.

The tournament, which began Thursday, pairs 82 walleye pros with a different amateur co-angler each day. The top 10 teams after today advance to third and final day of competition, which begins at 7 a.m. Saturday when boats depart from Grahams Island State Park.

Rounding out the top five pros after day two were:

Second: Chris Gilman, Chisago City, Minn., 33.65 pounds.

Third: Mark Courts, Harris, Minn., 32.96 pounds.

Fourth: Johsua Vanderweide, Jenison, Mich., 32.93 pounds.

Fifth: Brian Bjorkman, Fargo, 31.39 pounds.

The top five co-anglers after Friday were:

First: Chad Balka, Schererville, Ind., 31.75 pounds.

Second: Jason Coverse, Arlington, S.D., 30.32 pounds.

Third: John Spiegel, Appleton, Wis., 29.72 pounds.

Fourth: Chris Stokich, Rochester, Minn., 29.62 pounds.

Fifth: Randy Sterr, Oconomowoc, Wis., 29.59 pounds.
