Trout To Be Stocked Today At Turtle River State Park

If you’re a fan of stream trout fishing, you might want to make a trip to Turtle River State Park west of Grand Forks.

Park manager Steve Crandall told me this afternoon the North Dakota Game and Fish Department was en route with a truckload of 700 pounds of rainbow trout to stock in the Turtle River.

The trout should be stocked late this afternoon or early this evening. Crandall said the rainbows average about a half-pound each, and with relatively low water levels, they should be readily accessible to anglers.
