From the “This is really cool” department comes this item I discovered last night while perusing the Winnipeg Free Press website.
The Free Press reported that Frontier North Adventures, which offers guided “tundra buggy” tours for visitors seeking to view polar bears near Churchill, Man., has partnered with Polar Bears International and a group called explore.org to install a “Polar Bear Cam” along the Hudson Bay coastline near Churchill.
I checked out the webcam earlier this morning and saw a polar bear strolling next to one of the tundra buggies.
“The cameras have also caught a bear in the same frame as a wolverine and an Arctic fox,” the Free Press reports.
